well...being home to visit..i got a chance to visit one of the few spots that i frequented many of times growing up
---> and on this occassion...i experienced something i never saw before ( nor had the old couple i met along the shore whom had lived there all there life )

you see...This by No means is a beach
the coast is normally just large rocks which Lake Erie just crashes upon relentlessly

but on this crazy day.....like the chaotic weather through out the world at the moment

THERE WAS A BEACH ---> about 50 meters worth :faint:

so instead of my normal excursion along the boulders.....i had a splendid walk on my very own private beach :bounce:

Chalk this one up to being at the right place at the right time

So...i offer you this once in lifetime shot from this location
I sure hope you enjoy it as much as i do

Comments & criticism always greatly appreciated :handshake:

Thanx for viewing

I love it when the lake does that. You should see Colchester Harbour after a storm, all emptied out.

The bird is what makes me love this shot so much. Great timing with positioning it within the frame.

Beautiful... So dark and dramatic! I like the bird in the sky and the heavy storm clouds!

I spend time on the Great Lakes and what you experienced is not that uncommon. It is called a seiche, and usually happens when a strong steady wind pushes the water towards one end of the lake. There can be changes in the water depth of several feet.

Great capture, BTW.
